BioGeneius

The BioGENEius Challenge Series provides high school students with an expanded opportunity to compete and be recognized for outstanding research in biotechnology. Participants are drawn from state and regional science competitions across more than thirty states and international partners.

Workforce Development

SoCalBio aims to promote and grow the life sciences industry by fostering collaboration among leaders and academics, utilizing innovative strategies, and providing support to partners. Our focus is on inspiring innovation and driving change to benefit all stakeholders and generate employment opportunities in the industry.

CEO/CFO Roundtables

Providing a platform for CEOs and CFOs to discuss the latest financial and strategic issues facing their organizations, the roundtable is an exclusive, invitation-only event that encourages open and candid discussions on a range of topics, including fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.

SoCalBio Innovation Catalyst Committee

The SoCalBio Innovation Catalyst Committee supports innovative ideas and early-stage companies in Southern California’s biotech industry. They provide mentorship and resources, and foster collaboration among startups, allowing them to navigate the industry landscape. 

W3 | Women, Work & Wisdom

Bringing women executives and entrepreneurs together to promote diversity and create a collegial environment for sharing information, mentoring upcoming women entrepreneurs, and facilitating peer-to-peer learning among women executives and entrepreneurs employed in Southern California’s biotech, medical device, diagnostics, and health informatics industries.

Group Purchasing Advisory Committee

The Group Purchasing Advisory Committee offers a platform for the life science community to engage in conversations about optimal strategies and current purchasing trends in various domains, including Lab, Facilities / Operations, Data/IT, Travel, and Finance/HR.

Los Angeles & OC Regional Policy Committee

The Los Angeles & Orange County Regional Policy Committee convenes as needed to tackle policy matters within the broader Los Angeles and Orange County regions. Serving as a platform for SoCalBio members, this committee offers an opportunity to actively contribute input on proposed legislative modifications at the city and county levels of government.
